San Mig Light Party

The MAC San Mig light party was held in Timog's Pier 1 Resto Bar. Although I've arrived late, haven't missed anything that big, but Tony was getting drunker by the bottle. We've discussed the production of the resin kit that will be created by a fellow MAC member. We also had some laughs at some issues. Although it was not an ALL NIGHTER, I would say it was great!

WIP 1/144 OO raiser

thanks everyone, as to my surprise today, the 1/144 kit has a pretty good articulation as compared to the 1/100 version. the only part that i tweaked is the waist part to add a little bend to the torso. the balance of the kit without the o raiser is great. how i wish they re-issue other 1/144 kits like God Gundam and Gundam X. now i will be concentrating on the mods on the overall look of the kit, i hope it turns out good.
will be sanding the tip to add space for flexing.

the bend before sanding..

the bend after sanding.. i think that i only added 7-12 degrees of bend.. barely noticable... errr!

one advantage of the 1/144 kits is their weight.

Redemption - 1/144 OO raiser Detailed Build

Photobucket
This will be a very daunting task as I try to polish my skills in gunpla further by from starting small.
The build will include articulation from head to feet, pla plating and panel lines from the PG version. and if posible, LED mods on the GN drives.

A Mtg player's travel to the plastic world

Being a mtg player, 6 years of experience paid off with a crown. After a year of gunpla, i thought a had a firm grasp of the art. this year Bandai modeln kit world cup taught me a very valuable lesson, time is gold. If I had more time, this kit would have been better, maybe had the potential to be the best. As a MTG player, practice does make perfect, as i played the 2007 national championship without losing a single match in the Constructed format. same thing can be said in gunpla, every aspect should be perfect, from planning to execution. I feel that I still need to polish my execution skills, as i failed to seal my kit, causing mass orange peel on the top coat. if not for the topcoat mishap, I would have added a better color scheme and camo. As ponder on the past events, I developed a year's worth of wisdom. hopefully I will improve my skills further, as i search for the crown. My this is the time to dream big, as i did on MTG, traveling the 6 year road, which others dream for a lifetime.
Those are the days I used as inspiration for gunpla, That anyone who is determined and well equiped to win, can win it all.

Crazy Gunpla Days, 1/100 MG ZZ Gundam BMKWC entry

I've just finished my BMKWC entry. Crammed a lot and I feel that i could do BETTER next year. A lot of situations have contributed to my cramming like graduate studies, work and social life. Too many distractions and delays has resulted to an unsatisfied finish. I've also encountered orange peel on my seal coat which discouraged me a lot in this build. Also, i feel that that I've overdone the decal work. need to work more on my planning before doing the modifications. I also want to thank Don Carlo for the Qubeley torso.
well, after months of slaving under my desk lamp and the fumes of thinner and acrylic paint, here it is, Project double zeta.

Belldandy Angel Type

1/8 Belldandy Resin kit, the kit comes with two kinds of head, one eye open, one closed. and two stands, one pillar and a triangle. one of my favorites, i've repainted it after 6 years because of paint wear off. used the original color scheme presented in the kit. painted with tamiya acrylics.

Evangelion Unit 00 Proto Type

My own color scheme of a non scale Evangelion Unit 00 Proto Type kit by bandai. I've modified it with a LED on the eye. My first time using LED mods on the kit and the base. I've entered this in our group build and won. By good deed, we decided to give the prize to another deserving member.

Time to break bad habits

it's been my habit to finish things crunch time. One month from now, deadline is nearing. So far, i'm about 60% done with the mods. 40% left for about 30 days, 10% per day. time to speed-up jose! hyper drive!!!

I've retained the original style of ZZ but I'm planning to omit the g- fortress features. I'll be removing the wings and flaps and will be adding more bulk. I've mod the waist to add more poses.

I've added more space between the backpack to accommodate the shoulders when turning. after that, will be adding more bulk on the lower portion of the backpack to fill-out the space.

PG Strike Freedom, are you going to be my first PG?

I've been thinking for a while, if I'm going to get a PG next year. After seeing PG Strike Freedom on Ngeekhiong's Blog, I'm very enticed. But not that of a fan, I'm hoping to find a good deal for a OO raiser. Having second thoughts also in aquiring a PS3 and a MadCatz Arcade Stick.

The Double Zeta Project

This will be my Entry to the upcoming BAKUC/BAKWC competition on november. I'll be customizing a MG Double Zeta Gundam. This will be my first time to enter a big event so i'll try to give my best in this. The reason why i choose ZZ gundam is because of its backpack which has size and great to modify. addition to that is the size of the kit because of it's timeline (titans). the Downside is after complete modification of this kit, it may be not possible to transform it to G fortress. so before making any mods, i played with it for a while.. hehe.

After planning what to do with the kit, I've came up with a few modification plans (i'll think of more mods later, hehe).
1. Heavy mods on the backpack. I plan to beef up the whole thing.

2. Add waist articulation. The waist of this kit does not move, so i'll cook up a waist mod to add more dynamic poses. this is one of my common mistake i usually make. its good to keep in mind what is your target pose and how to achieve it.

3. New ZZ look. i plan to alter the look of the ZZ, but still be faithful to the original design, particularly with the shoulder binder. already did a trial mod. it turned out great luckily.

4. I'm planning to make a small dio for the stand. No Idea how to.. heheh hope to get help from Don.
