Flashback, Gunpla Singapore tour

Shop?!?! Toymaker's  Living room

Halu-Halo: Singapore Version

I've been to singapore for 3 times, and the last one is the most memorable. For the first time, I have been toured by two of my friends, Kenny and YiHui, a.k.a. Toymaker and Waylander. We went out for lunch, Chicken Rice and dessert. After that, off to a Roadtrip.
Sick Devastor

Been Touring around Singapore finding Hobby loots to bring back home. We've been to HAG and HAW, two of headquarters of gunpla in Singapore. You can find almost everything you need in gunpla here. They sell everything from tools, option parts to every kit available in the market.

Waylander's Strike freedom

Toymaker's Ultra Magnus

I got the chance to see up close their works, superb detail and craftsmanship. Lucky Me, BAKWC Singapore is that week, We will be heading to the event site. Arriving on the event site, I'm overwhelmed on the support that Gunpla has in Singapore. Gunpla is indeed popular in singapore. Entries in Singapore BAKWC varies from small 1/144 to as large as Perfect grades, Most of them a Diorama, a must in BAKWC.

Crazy Gunpla Days, 1/100 MG ZZ Gundam BMKWC entry

I've just finished my BMKWC entry. Crammed a lot and I feel that i could do BETTER next year. A lot of situations have contributed to my cramming like graduate studies, work and social life. Too many distractions and delays has resulted to an unsatisfied finish. I've also encountered orange peel on my seal coat which discouraged me a lot in this build. Also, i feel that that I've overdone the decal work. need to work more on my planning before doing the modifications. I also want to thank Don Carlo for the Qubeley torso.
well, after months of slaving under my desk lamp and the fumes of thinner and acrylic paint, here it is, Project double zeta.

The Double Zeta Project

This will be my Entry to the upcoming BAKUC/BAKWC competition on november. I'll be customizing a MG Double Zeta Gundam. This will be my first time to enter a big event so i'll try to give my best in this. The reason why i choose ZZ gundam is because of its backpack which has size and great to modify. addition to that is the size of the kit because of it's timeline (titans). the Downside is after complete modification of this kit, it may be not possible to transform it to G fortress. so before making any mods, i played with it for a while.. hehe.

After planning what to do with the kit, I've came up with a few modification plans (i'll think of more mods later, hehe).
1. Heavy mods on the backpack. I plan to beef up the whole thing.

2. Add waist articulation. The waist of this kit does not move, so i'll cook up a waist mod to add more dynamic poses. this is one of my common mistake i usually make. its good to keep in mind what is your target pose and how to achieve it.

3. New ZZ look. i plan to alter the look of the ZZ, but still be faithful to the original design, particularly with the shoulder binder. already did a trial mod. it turned out great luckily.

4. I'm planning to make a small dio for the stand. No Idea how to.. heheh hope to get help from Don.
